About Cozy Word

Cozy Word is a Frogame Original word search: a letter grid with words hidden inside it, running horizontally, vertically and diagonally — forwards and backwards, because half the fun is the ones written in reverse.

Five themed word lists ship with the game — animals, food, nature, space and school — and the generator places six to ten words per board before filling the gaps with random letters. Three grid sizes scale the challenge from a quick 8×8 to a properly dense 12×12.

Finding a word is a single gesture: press on the first letter, drag to the last, release. Correct words stay highlighted and cross off the list. There's no timer pressure beyond your own record, and one hint per board flashes a word's first letter if you're stuck staring.

How to Play

Press on a word's first letter and drag to its last letter, then release. Words run in any direction, including backwards and diagonally. Correct finds stay coloured and are crossed off the list. Find every word on the list to complete the board.

Cozy Word Tips & Tricks

  • Scan for uncommon letters first — a Q, X or Z usually gives away a whole word.
  • Check diagonals deliberately; they're the direction most players skip.
  • Read the word list before searching so your eye knows what shape to look for.
  • When one word resists, move on — finding neighbours often reveals it by elimination.
  • The hint flashes a first letter rather than the whole word, so you still get to find it.
