About Cozy Sort
Cozy Sort is a Frogame Original — our own take on the water-sort puzzle, built to be the gentlest brain game on the site. Glass tubes hold stacked layers of candy-colored liquid; tap one tube, then another, and the top color pours across. Your goal is simple to say and satisfying to do: get every color into its own tube.
Two design choices shape how it feels. First, every level is generated by working backwards from a solved board and then double-checked by a solver, so there is no such thing as an impossible puzzle — if you're stuck, a way out exists, and the hint button will show you the next step of an actual solution. Second, each level carries a par: finish within it and you take all three stars, spill an extra move and the results screen will politely dock you one. Chasing par is where the relaxing game quietly grows teeth.
There are no lives, no timers and no fail states — just undo, restart, a coin purse that feeds the hint button, and two color themes. It plays one-handed in portrait and saves your progress in the browser.

How to Play
Tap a tube to pick it up, then tap another tube to pour. Liquid only travels when the receiving tube is empty or its top color matches, and only as much as fits — a pour can be cut short by capacity, which is where most planning mistakes hide. Sort every tube to a single color to clear the level; fewer moves means more stars.
Cozy Sort Tips & Tricks
- Before your first pour, find the color that's closest to complete and work toward freeing it — random pouring buries colors deeper.
- Empty tubes are your working space, not storage: try to keep at least one open as long as you can.
- Watch pour capacity — moving two units onto a tube with room for one splits the color across tubes and usually costs extra moves.
- Par is calculated from a real solution. If you're over par by a lot, restarting often beats digging out of a tangled board.
- Hints spend coins, and coins come from finishing levels — so a hint on a genuinely stuck board pays for itself, a lazy hint doesn't.

Can a Cozy Sort level be unsolvable?
No. Levels are built backwards from a solved arrangement and verified by a solver before you ever see them, so a clean solution always exists.
How do I get three stars?
Finish at or under the level's par, which is the move count of a real optimal-style solution. Any extra pours cost you a star — undo is your friend.
What happens when I use a hint?
The game highlights the next pour from an actual solution to your current board — not a generic tip — and deducts a few coins.
